Due to the latest developments regarding the repetition of voting at one polling station in Kolašin, the State Election Commission (SEC) will most likely have to wait until the end of next week to announce the final results of the extraordinary parliamentary elections.

Yesterday, the SEC rejected the complaint of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as untimely. The SDP appealed, asking for a repeat of the elections at one polling station in Kolašin, for which the holder of the Pravda za sve list, Vladimir Leposavic, previously withdrew the constitutional complaint.

According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", the SDP will file a constitutional appeal after the 24th of July holidays, i.e. next week. According to the procedure, the Constitutional Court then asks the SEC for a statement and documentation, setting a deadline of XNUMX hours.

Once they have received all the information, the judges should make their decision within 48 hours. This means that before the end of next week there are no official results that the SEC planned to announce today.

The SDP expects that the Constitutional Court will decide as in the case of repeating the voting in one place in Cetinje, stating that the legal basis is the same - and for which they had accepted their appeal.

That party still lacks about 50 votes to get parliamentary status.

The SDP won 1 votes in the polling station number 13 of the "Braća Selić" secondary school in the parliamentary elections. The biggest support was then given to the Europe Now Movement - 137, then Bravely Counting 107, Together for the Future of Montenegro - 96, the Coalition led by DPS - Together 88, the alliance of the Socialist People's Party and Demos 41, "Justice for All" by Vladimir Leposavic 15 , Uopret 10, "Mi pomoje" and the People's Coalition three each.

827 voters were registered at that polling station, and on June 11, 530, or 64,09 percent, voted.

During the discussion on SDP's objection, a member of the commission Vera Mijatović (DPS) said that, according to its legal opinion, the objection was not timely and that the deadline for submission expired on June 28.

Member of the commission on behalf of the NGO, Damir Suljević said that the complaint should be rejected, because they already have a decision on the same situation in the case of Leposavić, and not because it was not timely.

SDP representative in the extended composition of the commission, Bojan Vujović, he said that the complaint was well-founded and timely.

Member of the commission Aleksandar Jovićević (SD) said that the objection was both untimely and inadmissible, for the reasons already stated by his colleagues.

Authorized representative of the Europe Now Movement (PES) Janko Odović said that he supports the position expressed by Mijatović.

He said that with this objection they want to "revive the dead appeals of Leposavic, which he himself withdrew and which no longer exist in legal circulation".

"It is absolutely necessary to do it at this moment and when all deadlines, both subjective and objective, have expired," said Odović.

Yesterday, the commission rejected the citizen's complaint by a majority of votes Žarko Dragićević, as inadmissible.

On July 10, Dragićević submitted a complaint to the SEC in the procedure of withdrawing the objection to the appeal of the owner of the newspaper "Pravda za sve" Vladimir Leposavić, stating that the complaint was filed by this party due to abuses in the election process, and that the SEC is obliged to determine the validity of these findings. Otherwise, according to Dragićević, the SEC is being put in the position of an accomplice in concealing irregularities at reported contested polling stations.

Leposavić withdrew the objection to the omission sent to the SEC due to irregularities registered by their members at several polling stations in Podgorica, as well as the remaining appeals previously sent to the Constitutional Court due to irregularities at polling stations in Bar, Budva and Nikšić, in order to prevent the Social Democratic Party from achieve parliamentary status.

Mugoša: It is no longer possible to determine and announce the final results of the elections

President of the SEC Nikola Mugoša said that according to the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, the 48-hour deadline for submitting an appeal to the Constitutional Court starts from the day the SEC's decision is delivered.

He said that, in this sense, it is no longer possible to determine and announce the final results of the election today, and that the public, depending on the eventual cancellation of appeals before the US, will be informed about the date for determining the final results.
