The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is electing the president and vice-presidents today, in a way that the party leadership will be directly chosen by the members of that party.
"This morning at 8 o'clock in the municipal boards in all 25 cities and municipalities in Montenegro, polling stations were opened, and it is possible to vote electronically through the application available to members until 20 p.m., when the elections end," DPS announced.
The candidate for president of that party is Danijel Živković. Whether he will be elected to the highest position in the party, the members will decide on the ballot through the option "yes" or "no".
Six candidates are competing for the four vice presidential positions: Elvir Zvrko, Aleksandra Vuković Kuč, Abaz Dizdarević, Dušan Raičević, Jevto Eraković and Ivan Vuković.
"With today's party elections, the Democratic Party of Socialists introduces a new standard on the Montenegrin political scene and takes an additional step towards the further democratization of our society and the progress of Montenegro," the party concludes.
