The Coalition for the Future of Šavnik sent a press release asking why the President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Jugoslav Jakić, is afraid of forced administration.
"Since the Ministry of Public Administration announced the introduction of forced administration in the Municipality of Šavnik, the President of the Municipality Jugoslav Jakić and the Municipal Council of Šavnik have started gross violations of the law, and everyone is afraid that illegal acts committed in the previous period will be discovered. The Assembly of the Municipality of Šavnik on electronic session that was held on March 21.3.2024, XNUMX, grossly violated the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, because it did not accept the proposal of the SNP and the Front to appoint proposed members of the SNP and the DF to the permanent composition of the Municipal Election Commission. that the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament strictly stipulates that MEC members are appointed from among candidates proposed by political parties, and that the Municipal Assembly does not have the right to determine which representatives can or cannot be part of the MEC," reads their press release.
As they point out, the legal violence continued, at the electronic session, when the opposition was not allowed to participate in the vote, even though they informed the authorities that they would participate in the work of the Assembly.
"One more, in a series of illegalities, all with the aim of avoiding the introduction of forced administration, is the adoption of the Decision on the dismissal of the MEC, and the selective appointment of new members of the MEC.
We call on the Ministry of Public Administration to react urgently, because all these illegalities are being done by the mayor of the municipality and the Municipality of Šavnik, whose mandate has expired," concludes the statement of the Coalition for the Future of Šavnik.
