The President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Jugoslav Jakić, reacted to the statement of the coalition "For the Future of Šavnik", emphasizing that by "attacking" him, as the President of the Municipality and the Municipal Assembly, they are only looking for an alibi for future defeat.
"These days, the group from the opposition in Šavnica persistently misleads and misinforms the Montenegrin public with their false statements, in order to cover up their fear of everything they did in the previous period. And everything they did is not even worth mentioning... Fearing electoral defeat, they are trying to get the ball rolling for their, now quite certain, electoral debacle for the local government. New hope is given by one of the series of 'new projects' they are thinking of, in order not to, once again, try to gain power in an illegal way at the local level," stated Jakić's response.
As he pointed out, the accusations about the illegal work of the local government are untrue, unfounded and unfounded.
He called, as he emphasized, like "countless times before", all competent authorities to examine the work of the local administration and remove doubts about the so-called irregularities in work.
"That persistence in fantasizing nonsense and inventing untruths exceeds all possible limits of creativity is also confirmed by their untrue claims regarding the holding of the 32nd Session of the Šavnik Municipal Assembly. All councilors of the Šavnik Municipal Assembly, including the opposition, were invited to participate in the 32nd electronic session of the Assembly -016/24-943/2 from March 19.03.2024, XNUMX and attended the collegium of the President of the Assembly, where they expressed their opinion that they would not participate in the work of the Assembly session. Their refusal is certainly their problem and their mistake," says Jakić and with the reaction also attached the invitation for the electronic session, the minutes from the meeting of representatives of party clubs, as well as the proposal of candidates for the election of new members of the MEC.
"To their pain, this is both untruth and their own denial, because they publicly declared that they will not participate in the work at the 32nd Electronic Session, which was reported by numerous media... But they cannot stop denying themselves. The opposition representatives were enabled to propose members to the permanent composition of the Šavnik MEC...We confirm their falsehood with evidence, and one of the acts is an act sent to the Socialist People's Party for the nomination of members to the Šavnik MEC," Jakić says with the delivered act he mentions.
As he pointed out, they are telling the "opposition lakrdia" that the local administration has no reason to be afraid of the introduction of forced administration.
"And to spare you the trouble... there will be no compulsory administration in Šavnik. The work of the municipal government is recognized for its transparency and the fulfillment of all assumed obligations, regardless of the lack of staff and the obstruction of part of the executive authorities. But we certainly do not want to be part of legal stunts and elementary ignorance of the law. It is clear to everyone that the 'liberators' want to sit down in undeserved seats without a choice, and which, hands down, do not even suit them. And finally, a question for all those who care about the soul: how can SO Šavnik be warned for its work, if her mandate has expired, and what do you persistently claim? It's illogical, isn't it," concluded Jakić.
