On Monday, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) held an event as part of the campaign for intra-party local elections in the DPS, where they announced that they would continue with reforms within the party, as well as that teamwork would guarantee the success of the DPS in the coming period.
The DPS announced that the deputy and member of the DPS Presidency Nermin Abdić presented the achieved results of that party's committee in Tuzi and "especially emphasized the perseverance and cooperation of the party members", thanks to which, according to his opinion, the DPS is still the most important political entity in that municipality as well. .
DPS Vice President Abaz Dizdarević looked back to the internal party local elections in that party, which he said were "part of the reform of the party that is being carried out continuously", as well as representing "a new approach to politics that has not been seen in Montenegro so far". He also commented on recent research results, according to which DPS is at the top of voter support in Montenegro.
"We must continue with the reforms within the DPS, and transfer the enthusiasm and energy to all the municipal committees of our party. It is quite certain that teamwork will be the guarantee of our success in the coming period, and commitment and programmatic principles of our party will be the only correct path for the good of Montenegro and our citizens," Dizdarević said.
The candidate for the president of the DPS Municipal Board, Tuzi Mirza Pepić, thanked the members of that party in that municipality for the support he received for his candidacy.
"I am aware of the responsibility I am taking on, and know that I will be, as before, only the first among equals. I know that we have a very difficult and demanding task ahead of us. Our overriding goal is to preserve the electorate, to respect every member, activist, supporter and voter, as well as to regain the trust of the citizens of Tuza with good field work in the coming period," said Pepić.
For Pepić, who, according to the DPS, "has a great experience of party work", of priority importance will be "to work on further strengthening and consolidating the party network from local committees and mini headquarters to all other party bodies at the local level."
"We must form the highest quality local committees, achieve the best possible cooperation and enable greater representation of the Youth Council and the Women's Alliance. With our unity in the party, we will prove our strength and relevance on the political scene of Montenegro", concluded Pepić.
