Thanks to NATO membership, Montenegro has made progress in various fields, announced the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković.
"Seven and a half decades since the formation of the NATO alliance, reminds us of the value system and democratic principles that this military alliance has been affirming and protecting for 75 years. The membership of our country in the most powerful military alliance is one of the important achievements of the state policy led by the DPS. Thanks to the membership in "NATO, Montenegro has made progress in various fields. A large number of investments as well as Montenegro's approach to the European Union are the best confirmation of a wise and responsible policy that successfully led the process of Euro-Atlantic integration," wrote Živković on the social network Iks.
He added that in turbulent times when it is necessary to preserve peace and the basic principles of democracy, the NATO alliance at the global level preserves the foundations of the civilizational achievements of Western democracy.
"The Democratic Party of Socialists will continue to advocate for Montenegro to be a reliable member of the Alliance and to continuously and uncompromisingly contribute to strengthening security and preserving peace at the global level," Živković concluded.
