Tatjana Bečanović, professor of the Faculty of Philosophy, announced yesterday that European institutions will also deal with the issue of Vladimir Vojinović's doctorate, if other institutions in Montenegro also declare themselves incompetent.
Bečanović's, on the occasion Rector Predrag Miranović's statement that he "would like to hear a discussion about the quality of the doctoral thesis" and that he "has full confidence in the member of the Defense Commission, Novak Kilibarda", pointed out that Kilibarda's role in the doctoral evaluation body is questionable.
She said that Kilibard's works were covered in a disputed doctorate, which could make his role questionable.
"Which methodology did the candidate use to process the short stories of the Commission member? I praise the aesthetic quality to you, and you praise the doctorate to me, even though it was written on only 200 pages. Who would dare to question the quality here when you cannot prove even such an obvious violation to the University authorities procedures? The rector does not doubt the quality of the doctoral dissertation at all, which is very strange considering that he is a physicist by profession. So, he was not convinced of the quality by reading it first-hand, but by someone else's "verified" second-hand opinions. Someone told him explained that the quality is not in dispute, and we also found out who. A trustworthy man," Bečanović said in response.
She pointed out that no member of the Commission before which the doctorate was defended has any references in the field of Montenegrin literature of the 20th century.
"Milorad Nikčević is a professor of methodology in retirement, and his assistant Jakov Sabljić inherited the chair of methodology, which means that he is also a methodologist. All members of the Commission must be from the scientific field in which the doctoral dissertation is being defended," concluded Bečanović.
Cerović took the better one and gave it to Vojinović
Bečanović said that there were no obstructions to Vojinović, but the opposite - there was not a single professor from the Montenegrin Language Study Program in the Doctorate Defense Committee.
"In that elimination, the most vocal were outgoing dean Blagoja Cerović and professors Bojka Đukanović and Vesna Kilibarda, who showed an almost unhealthy interest in the topic of Montenegrin literature and fiercely lobbied both the Faculty Council and the Senate. Vladimir Vojinović, despite the negative reviews that received from all professors in both competitions, the dean hired him and provided him with free education for doctoral studies, which cost 4.500 euros, as well as a salary for a full six years, which belonged to a candidate with better references," said Bečanović.
