We should all stand up for free speech and democratic values always and everywhere, and this also applies to those under whose authority the institutions arrested and persecuted people because of one ugly word on social networks, said Miodrag Laković, MP of the Europe Now Movement.
"I believe that today they realize how wrong it was to keep it quiet at the time," wrote Laković on the social network Iks.
He referred to the statement of the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, that "when institutions persecute free speech", it is expected that it will also be persecuted on the street.
Živković said this on the occasion of yesterday's burning of a doll symbolizing the writer and columnist Andrej Nikolaidis at the carnival in Herceg Novi.
