Montenegrin football players gathered in Antalya yesterday, and today they had their first training session under the command of new coach Robert Prosinecki.

The popular Robi announced a few days ago that he wants to create a more offensive Montenegro than was the case before, and the first goal is to prepare the team for two friendly matches - on Thursday at 18 p.m. they will face Belarus, and on Monday the "brave Falcons" in they meet with North Macedonia on the same date.

"Every change can make a positive difference. The most important thing is that we are healthy, that the atmosphere is at the right level as always, and with the new coach we try to do what we haven't done so far - to qualify for the big competition. In the last qualifiers, we were in the game until the last moment, I hope that we will have better luck in the next ones," said midfielder Edvin Kuč.

Kuč, the captain of Balkanija from Kosovo, made his debut for the Montenegrin national team in October last year and quickly showed that he is a reinforcement.

"We have started work, we are entering a new system. We have two games ahead of us and we all want to win, but sometimes even that is not the most important thing. It is also important that we get to know each other in the right way and play together in order to be the right ones when the important games come. It is up to us to use the four friendly matches in the right way and to enter the qualifiers ready and well-coordinated," Kuč pointed out.

After the action in Antalya, our footballers will compete against Belgium in June and Georgia in Podgorica.

It will be the last checks before the September start of B League of Nations.

Montenegro hosts Iceland on September 6 for the opening match, and three days later they welcome Wales in Gorica.
