The average young man spends two hours a week on Internet pornography, while girls spend about 15 minutes on it.
A survey of 1.000 respondents between the ages of 18 and 24 showed that one in four occasionally thinks they waste too much time on online sexy content.
The results of the survey also showed that viewing pornographic content often interferes with the subjects' daily duties, because every third user who relatively rarely surfs ".xxx" sites has at least once been late for a meeting or failed to fulfill an obligation due to this enjoyment.
But, if we are talking about people who enjoy Internet pornography for ten or more hours a week, the number of respondents who do not fulfill their daily obligations due to tricky content is increasing, the research showed.
"People who spend a lot of time watching pornographic content on the Internet often have problems achieving relationships," says Dr. Heather Wood from the Portman Clinic, as reported by "Daily Express".
"People who are considered 'light' users of Internet pornography are concerned that it could cause problems in their relationship, as well as that it could offend their partner. Also, one in four respondents admits that it happens because of visiting porn sites less interested in sex with a partner. So people who spend a lot of time on pornography actually have less fun," concludes Dr. Wood.
