The urgent need to find a solution for safe traffic on the section of the road from Kolašin to the Klisura tunnel is a request made to the local administration by the residents of the settlement along that road.
They are asking to ensure that they can safely approach their houses on the part of the road that is owned by the municipality, that is, they can connect to that road. The driving of reckless drivers, as the locals wrote to the president of Opštna Petko Bakić, is a big problem and danger for all road users, especially since the road from Jezerin to Lubnice was opened on a trial basis.
"We demand that you find a way as soon as possible and provide safe access and exit from Bjelasička Street to our houses. The exit to and from the road was a big problem before, and now it is even bigger since the opening of the Klisura tunnel on the road Kolašin - Jezerine - Lubnice - Berane. Reckless drivers drive at inappropriate speeds, with illegal overtaking. We urgently ask you to receive us and to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible, because otherwise we will be forced to block the road", the locals wrote to Bakić.
Yesterday, the locals did not want to comment on their requests addressed to the mayor. As they say, before talking to journalists, they will wait to see how the local government will react to their initiatives.
As "Vijesti" previously wrote, about nine kilometers of the road from Kolašin to the ski resort, that is, the Klisura tunnel, is in a very bad condition. Part of that road is the property of the municipality, while the rest is the property of the long-privatized ski center "Bjelasica" in bankruptcy. The entire length of the road is without appropriate vertical and horizontal traffic signals, without pedestrian infrastructure, and the asphalt has worn out. The condition of that road has received numerous criticisms from visitors to the ski center in Bjelasica, and the road has only been partially and superficially repaired, from time to time.
According to what was previously told to "Vijesta" from the Municipality, the reconstruction of that road is not possible before next year, due to unresolved property relations.
"Considering that the road from the restaurant 'Savardak' to the ski resort is the property of a company in bankruptcy, the Municipality has already initiated the procedure for resolving property-legal relations. We have promises from the Traffic Administration and the Ministry of Transport that upon the completion of those procedures, which we expect during this year, the conceptual design of the project will be completed. As early as next year, a tender for the execution of works on the reconstruction of the road can be announced," said the vice-president of the municipality, Vasilije Ivanović, about ten days ago.
Minister of Economic Development Nik Đeljošaj, at the session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Kolašin, which he attended during the discussion on the project of the system for water supply and snowmaking of the mountain centers Kolašin 1600 and Kolašin 1450, said that the money for the reconstruction of the road from Kolašin to Jezerin has already been secured in Traffic Administration. He announced the reconstruction of 10 kilometers of road because, as he explained, it will be necessary to provide access to tourist complexes under construction. The reconstruction, as explained by the minister, will also solve the problem of waste water from buildings in Bjelasica.
