Lithuanian expert Valdas Dambrauskas is no longer Hajduk's coach, the Split club announced.
They said that there was a mutual termination of the contract and thanked Dambrauskas for the cooperation so far. His assistants Marius Skinderis and Justinas Gasiunas are leaving with him.
In the coming period, the team will be led by coach Mislav Karoglan, who as an assistant coach participated in the work of the past two professional staffs of the first team.
Dambrauskas took over Hajduk on December 2 last year and led the team in 38 official matches. During that time, Hajduk recorded 23 wins, eight draws and seven losses.
Dambrauskas brought the trophy to Poljud after nine years as a coach. Last season, the people of Split defeated Rijeka in the Cup final.
The president of the club management, Lukša Jakobušić, said that Hajduk must strive for the highest goals, saying that today's decision should be seen in that context.
