Tunisian tennis umpire Abderahim Garsalah, who was suspended for entering incorrect results in matches, has lost his appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the International Tennis Integrity Agency announced.

Garsalah appealed to CAS to challenge a seven-year ban for match-fixing at the 2020 Tunisia lower-tier tournament.

He was among three umpires suspended from seven to 20 years for "manipulating results entered into their electronic scoring devices, which did not reflect actual results on court," the International Tennis Integrity Agency said when it handed down the punishment in 2022.

Garsalah's suspension runs until November 2027 and he will not be able to referee or attend any international tennis event or event organized by a national federation until then.
