A criminal complaint was filed against an unknown person to the Bjelopol Security Department for causing danger and setting fire in the open air.
This was confirmed to "Vijesta" by the commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Edin Kolić, who pointed out that firefighters fight forest fires almost every day, which are most often caused by unscrupulous citizens, contrary to the law, and that 35 forest fires were localized in March alone.
Members of the Protection and Rescue Service also intervened in extinguishing the forest fire in Grančarevo and Selima yesterday.
"The fire in Grančarevo was reported shortly after 13:00 p.m. and it was localized at 17:00 p.m. Three firefighters and one fire truck participated in extinguishing the fire. Also, the fire in Selim was reported to the firefighters the night before last at around 20:00 p.m. and a team from three members of the Service with one specialized vehicle managed to locate him at 23:00 p.m.," Kolić said.
