The Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović, said that he was taken aback by the information that Vladan Drašković was dismissed from the position of Executive Director of the Airport of Montenegro.
The board of directors made that decision today and appointed Drašković's former deputy Petar Radulović as acting executive director.
Radulović said that this decision to "decapitate the airports of Montenegro the day before the new board arrives is a really shameful thing". He said that a new Board of Directors of the Airport of Montenegro should have been elected at the Government meeting on Thursday.
Radulović, guest on the Iz(Nova) show on TV Nova, said that today he had a conversation with Drašković and the president of the Board of Directors, Eldin Dobardžić, but that there was no talk of dismissal at that time.
"I am surprised by the news that Mr. Drašković has been dismissed. Even today, from 14.30:15.30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., I had a conversation with Mr. Drašković in my office and Mr. Dobardžić. There was no talk of Mr. Drašković's dismissal, there was talk of the events of the last 12, XNUMX days, about the hacking attack, about half a million euros that went to another bank account... There were talks about that and there was a story about it. We even said today that the board will be replaced as early as tomorrow and that it passed the personnel committee a few days ago day. This decision was made at five to XNUMX," said Radulović.
He also pointed out that the decision of the Board of Directors of the Airport of Montenegro is "irresponsible towards the company, the state".
"To me, this looks more like a personal confrontation. Mr. Dobardžić, when he was with me today, at the same time as Drašković, said that they have not spoken for a year, since March of last year. We cannot have such a relationship executive director according to the Board of Directors. The country is suffering the consequences..." said Radulović.
He suspected, as he said, that the decision to dismiss Drašković was an attempt to attack him.
"Mr. Dobardžić contacted my state secretary countless times in the past few months and urged him to stay with the Airport or even with me in the ministry and he did not succeed. I suppose this is a consequence of that".
Radulović said that on Thursday the Government will present a proposal for the election of a new Board of Directors.
"I expect that it will pass and that everything will be voted on. It already passed the personnel committee a few days ago. I am completely taken aback by the news of Drašković's dismissal. The new board of directors will have support as long as they work in the interest of the Airport of Montenegro and the state and as long as they work committed..."
Radulović said that as a result of the hacker attack, half a million euros were sent from the account of the Airport of Montenegro to another account.
"The money is frozen, it will be returned in a future period. I would leave all the details, considering that the case is open at the MUP, and I would not give any more details," Radulović said.
