At yesterday's session of the city parliament, all councilor clubs in Podgorica, without exception, supported VPK Budućnost being municipally owned.

"Podgorica is taking over the club with zero euros, because it was legal and all kinds of other nonsense that the Sports Facilities of Podgorica were the founders of the club. There is no problem with the competition for the distribution of money to sports organizations, because 100.000 euros were previously foreseen in the budget for VPK Budućnost, that is twice as much compared to last year, with the fact that an additional 20.000 euros were later allocated as a result of the budget rebalancing. has enormous talent and potential for the development of water polo. It is a huge base, and we will go towards the Government and the initiative to build new pools," said the deputy mayor Luka Rakcevic and added:
"VPK Budućnost, as a municipal club, will also have free training sessions according to the calendar of the Secretariat for Sports. Unfortunately, we also have a lot of problems with the competition for the financing of sports of the Main Guard, due to the Law on Sports. I appeal to work on a new law. You know that there there are a lot of doubts, completely different practices. I think it is very important for the Ministry to change or draft a new law," appealed the deputy mayor.
Acting Secretary of the Secretariat for Sport, in the capacity of proposer to take over VPK Budućnost Miloš Antic said:
"We thought that the water polo swimming sport deserves more support. I think that it will get it just by passing into the hands of the Capital City. One of the reasons is that we would form a senior water polo team that, I hope, will start functioning in September. Although young, the club especially in the generation of water polo players born in 2009, it is already competitive with one from Jadran or Primorje. The confirmation of good work in VPK Budućnost arrived after an hour - the selector Nenad Vukanić, the famous water polo player and coach from Kotor, invited as many as five Budućnosti players from the list of 15 participants born in 2009 to the Montenegrin national team for the tournament in Naples.
